Disqualification Policy:

  • Participants failing to meet eligibility criteria, not complying with competition requirements, or violating rules may face disqualification without further notice. This applies both before and after the competition. Disqualified participants are not entitled to a refund of the registration fee.

1. Eligibility:

  • Open to soloists and teams from UK schools / music hubs.

  • Proof of school enrollment may be required.

  • Each team should assign a primary contact.

2. Entry Criteria:

  • Participants are required to use licensed sheet music, and the music and content must comply with appropriate copyright regulations. This means the music does not need to be original compositions by the participants, but they must use licensed sheet music and possess the original book. For example, if a contestant is competing in the Piano Solo Junior Level competition and selects a piece from the Grade 3 ABRSM syllabus, they must own the original book. Photocopies will not be accepted for stage performances. Even if the piece is memorized, contestants attending a live competition must present the original book at the reception upon arrival.

  • All music genres are welcome.

  • Explicit, offensive, or inappropriate entries will be disqualified.

3. Video Submission Guidelines:

  • Entries accepted only via the official festival website.

  • Ensure high-quality video and audio recordings.

  • Entry durations must adhere to limits set for each category or group.

4. Intellectual Property Rights:

  • Participants retain rights to their compositions.

  • Entry grants the festival a non-exclusive, royalty-free license for promotional use across various platforms.

5. Evaluation:

  • Judging criteria include originality, technical skill, presentation, and artistic merit.

  • Judge decisions are conclusive and cannot be contested.

6. Awards & Recognition:

  • Prizes are awarded based on scores: Gold, Silver, Bronze, Merit, and Participation recognitions.

  • Prize and certificate delivery dates will be communicated to participants later. We thank participants for their patience.

7. Liability & Indemnification:

  • The festival, its organizers, partners, and sponsors aren’t liable for any harm, damage, or loss resulting from participation.

  • Participants indemnify the festival against claims due to their performance or any breach of these terms.

8. General Provisions:

  • Festival may update terms without prior announcement.

  • Entries violating terms or deemed deceptive can be disqualified.

  • All participants must respect applicable laws.

9. Data Privacy:

  • Personal data is solely for competition purposes and won't be shared without permission.

  • Festival processes data as per its privacy policy.

10. Terms Acknowledgment:

  • Participation signifies agreement to these terms.

All participants are encouraged to carefully review and adhere to these guidelines.
